Hot glass flameworking

FAQ

·         What does Kearns Memorial Glass do?

Using time-honored flameworking and glassblowing techniques, our artists carefully encase small amounts of cremains into glass, and fashion that glass into jewelry and art. Doing so creates subtle effects in the glass such as coloration, shimmer, and unique internal textures. Each piece that we create serves as an enduring and one-of-a-kind tribute to a departed loved one.

·         What is the ordering process?

We have worked hard to make acquiring a memorial art piece as easy as possible! First, complete your order here on our website. Within a week, you’ll receive a letter via USPS from us containing a return envelope and a small bag. Place about a tablespoon of cremains in the bag provided, write your order number on the back of the envelope and drop it in the mail (it’s pre-addressed with postage paid). Once we receive your envelope, we will begin work on your order promptly. Upon completion of your order, we will ship your piece(s) via Priority USPS (including any unused cremains) and email you with a tracking number. Orders typically take 4-6 weeks for completion.

·         Can Kearns Memorial Glass encase pet cremains in glass?

YES! We regularly create memorial pieces for those who have lost their beloved pets. Rest assured that we take as much care when handing pet remains as we do human remains, and we take pride in producing the same quality glasswork for all commissioned pieces. Place your order today to find out how Kearns Memorial Glass can help you carry the memory of your pet with you, always.
